Sankofa Advisory Council

Rooted in restorative practices, the Sankofa Advisory Council is a dedicated group of descendants, including a community of elders, younger descendants and extended family members, who are deeply committed to preserving the legacy of Hardy and Mary Bearden Shelton in the spirit of healing and unity. Organized into various groups that may occasionally meet independently, the council, through inclusive collaboration, fosters family unity and provides guidance on key initiatives that preserve and honor the Shelton family heritage.
